Summer Guide Part 2

Summer concerts are a huge favorite of mine and, even though I haven’t been to one in ages, I always debate about what to wear. If they’re on the lawn, you want to be comfortable since you’ll be sitting in the grass for 4 hours. So I would opt for a pair of crops, a tank and some fun accessories. In this example, I used some neon favorites!

As discussed last week, you can expect many weddings to happen during the summer. I picked out some lovely dresses for those weddings (see here) but didn’t really elaborate on how to wear some of them. I think accessories are very important in dressing for a wedding so that you look chic and put together. Attending a wedding looking sloppy isn’t cool. I picked out my favorite dresses that I included in the previous post!

This coral dress is flawless and I love the brightness! Keep shoes and bag neutral and maybe add in one additional color in the jewelry. But make sure your shoes and jewelry are dressy so that it is wedding appropriate, because I think this dress could go casual as well.

I might die if I don’t get this green dress. I am in love with the color, so much so that I didn’t want to add any other pops of color in with it. Neutral accessories, maybe a bit of sparkle in the jewelry or bag. Lovely.

Again, I love this purple color. Dressy strappy sandals ensure that a maxi doesn’t sway casual, along with dressy jewelry. I love the yellow with this shade of purple. What about you?

Next up, summer dates! Dining al fresco is my favorite and I try and eat outside whenever possible, unless it’s just too hot [read: this weekend]. Frozen yogurt dates as well. Summer date night is the perfect time to rock a pair of nice shorts with some heels, fun summery dresses and wedges!

I love shorts dressed up! I have a great pair of black shorts that I love to wear on summer dates because I can wear any of my strappy sandals and it looks completely chic! Paired with a blouse, this outfit is perfect for a nice dinner al fresco.

A bright dress can also be a great outfit base for a summer date. This is more casual, but not ever date has to be fancy, right?! To the movies [bring a jacket, though!] or out for ice cream.

I like to wear jeans occasionally when going out in the summer, especially because so many restaurants are freezing and because I just love jeans. But I pair them with a great summery blouse or tank and some dressy accessories!

After the heat wave goes through this weekend and I actually enjoy being outside again, I can’t wait to put together some great summer outfits!
