Black and white is one of my very favorite color combinations. So you can imagine my delight when I saw that it was very prevalent on the fall runway. I am especially loving all of the graphic prints, such as in the DVF look above and all of the b&w colorblocking. This runway look totally translates to everyday life because it is super wearable! I like to wear it in 2 different ways: 1. completely go for it and wear black and white head-to-toe without any color and 2. Accessorize with lots of color! Another way to wear it is to mix graphic black & white prints. No matter what, black & white is completely timeless, so stock up!

With this colorblocked dress, I decided to keep the black & white colorblocking theme going! Just because b&w goes well with lots of different colors doesn’t mean you have to use them! 🙂

This skirt might be my favorite of all time!

A good way to incorporate color into a black & white outfit is to choose one color and use it for at least two accent pieces. Red always goes really well with b&w.

Another way to go about it is to pick 2 colors that you love together and treat the black & white as a neutral. I love cobalt and yellow together, so I treated the polka dot pants as a neutral and accessorized with cobalt. I wouldn’t use any more than 2 colors, though!

How will you wear black & white this fall!?
