Spring Transition Essentials II

Happy Sunday! Do you all remember who I am? The girl who went from blogging 3-4 times per week to falling off the face of the earth. I have been frantically working on a HUGE project at work, vacation planning, working out like a madwoman to prepare for said vacation and trying to get 8 hours of sleep every night. Well, my project at work is officially dunzo, my vacation is planned and I can return to my regularly scheduled blogging. I know you’re all jumping for joy right now 🙂

When we left off last time, I was going on and on about spring transition essentials. Which are still super necessary because of how weird our weather is being. Warm and windy followed by cold and rainy – it’s driving me mad. So continue with the transition pieces, let’s look at skinny ankle pants and colorful/printed jeans!

Skinny ankle pants are my pant of choice through the spring and summer months – especially for work! They easily transition from winter to spring to summer and from work to play. Black and navy are obviously classic and super versatile, but try to mix it up with some bright colors and prints! I am loving all of Gap’s pants right now and I have my eye on a couple of pairs 😉

Gap_crops

I LOVE the pink! So much.

This pair of crops is available in several patterns and I love them all. I especially love the navy though!

Halogen_crops

I also love this pair of Halogen [via Nordstrom] patterened crops. Great color. If you don’t like where they fall on your ankle, get them hemmed a couple of inches.

Vince Camuto_crops

Vince Camuto. I love this pattern and I really love how they paired them with the bright pop of pink!

Mango_crops

Mango, for a super classic pair.

What I love most about these pants is that they look chic with any kind of shoe – pair them with pointy pumps, loafers, ballet flats, sandals, wedges – all of your spring and winter favorites.

So I feel like I talk about colored and patterned denim every single time I blog, but I’m sorry I’m not sorry. Going beyond the classic blue denim is a fantastic way bring a spring trend into your wardrobe but also a great way to transition from summer to spring. I prefer colored or printed jeans in a skinny style, but if skinny isn’t your thing, consider straight leg or boyfriend! For colors, I’m feeling mint, cobalt and yellow and I am absolutely loving the polka dot jeans!

Pair your colored denim with neutral ballet flats, wedges or flat sandals.

What are your favorite spring jeans?

I will do everything in my power to do more blogging this week. Tell me what you want to read about!
