Fall and leather go hand in hand, as evidenced by my post yesterday about moto jackets. Leather is great because it is timeless and making an investment in a leather pencil skirt [favorite!] or a leather shell is always going to be a good investment. The fall runways featured everything from leather sweatshirts to jackets to skirts and pants and in a wide array of colors!

Some real life shopping picks! If you want to save your cash, there are some really great faux leather items available as well. I know I have a leather [or really good faux] pencil skirt on my list! And if you’re not sure about an all-over leather piece, opt for one with leather accents.

A leather pencil or A-line skirt is a great swap for you traditional work wear pencil skirt. It will update your look and show that you have a sense of style but is still professional and chic.
If you want to try a leather top, opt for a sleeveless shell or peplum with skinny pants.
The most common colors of leather are black and cognac, but if you dare, wear it in a bright color or print!
What’s your take on leather? Real or fake? Worth the splurge?
