2014 Style Icon: Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is one of the most polarizing celebrities of our time [only Anne Hathaway and Gwyneth Paltrow beat her out for most polarizing]. Love her or hate her, she is having her best year yet. Her new music is topping every single chart out there. She is constantly surrounded by famous besties [what do you have to do to become best friends with Lena Dunham? I need to know the secret!]. She has been on the cover of an endless number of fashion magazines. [Her PR team is clearly the best in the biz. ]And she is killing it with her fashion this year. Her red carpet style has been as classic and flawless as ever but she’s kicked it up a notch. And her street style – O.M.G. Whether she’s toting her adorable kitten through the streets of NYC or leaving a dance class, she gets it right every single time. She’s on top of the world right now.

1. Street style – her street style has typically been categorized as sweet, demure and retro. She was never one to shy away from a conservative floral dress, full skirts and all things “kitty” themed. But this year she’s really mixed it up with cropped tops, heeled oxfords, fabulous hats, short shorts and cut outs.

2. Red carpet style – similar to her street style, Taylor has always looked great on the red carpet. But this year she took hit every single red carpet and owned it – not one misstep. Flawless designer choices, always fitting her to a tee and perfectly classy.
